Healthmine welcomes Mallory Mueller BSN, RN as the new Vice President of Population Health and Equity. Mueller brings 15 years of leadership, quality and clinical experience ensuring 5-Star quality care for senior populations.

Mueller will lead Healthmine’s efforts in advancing health equity and improving population health outcomes. Her firsthand clinical and quality expertise will support new advancements in Healthmine’s technology solutions. She will also expand the consulting capabilities of the Expert Advisory Services team to help plan partners reduce health disparities, prepare for the Health Equity Index, achieve NCQA Health Equity Accreditation and earn 5 Star Ratings.

“CMS is intentionally making the star rating program more difficult to reduce the amount of quality bonus payments paid to Medicare Advantage plans,” said Mueller. “Plans will have to have a robust Star Rating strategy and workplan with a strong commitment to health equity initiatives to be successful.”

Mueller recently served as the Director of Quality Health Integration at Network Health Plan. Network Health is the only 5-Star individual Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Plan in the state of Wisconsin for 2024. She oversaw all major regulatory programs for Medicare Advantage and Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans, including Star Ratings, National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Health Plan and Health Equity Accreditation, Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS), Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers & Systems (CAHPS) and Health Outcome Surveys. She routinely led Network Health Plan to achieve 5-Star performance through her expertise in value-based care, transition of care programs, condition management and wellness programs.

“Health equity is one of the most pivotal and challenging areas facing health plans,” said Kimberly Swanson, Chief of Staff. “With Mallory leading the charge, we aim to equip health plans with data-driven tools for proactively reducing health disparities long term while achieving continuous growth in revenue and quality performance.”
